About me as a teaching artist

As a visual artist, teaching artist and former museum education director, I have a great enthusiasm for bringing the arts into community. I bring 9 years of experience working with diverse communities.

I specialize in multicultural, therapeutic, historical and educational learning experiences and art making workshops. During the workshop participants are encouraged to explore new topics while learning more about themselves or other cultures.
All workshops include related hands-on materials, music, art making activity, historical/educational background of project, literature and a possible writing lesson.

Workshops are appropriate for ages 5-90.

I have experience working with large or small groups and individuals in grade schools, university settings, detention centers, hospitals, libraries, adult/community centers, museums, festivals, churches, private homes, summer camps and other community gathering places.
